Getting started

Is Rekinder free to use?: Yes — creating an account, browsing listings, and messaging sellers is free. Rekinder Credits are available for optional premium features like AI photo enhancement.
Which countries is Rekinder available in?: Rekinder is currently focused on Switzerland. Listings are filtered by location to connect local families.
How do I create an account?: Download the Rekinder app on iOS or Android, or sign up on this website. You can also browse as a guest without creating an account.

How do I contact a seller?: Open any listing and tap "Message seller". You can ask questions, make an offer, or arrange a handover directly in the app.
Are listings verified?: Sellers complete mandatory safety checklists for high-risk categories. Verified seller badges indicate users with completed profiles and positive ratings.
Can I rent items instead of buying?: Yes — listings marked "Rent" include daily or weekly pricing. Choose your rental period, and Rekinder holds a security deposit via Stripe that is released when the item is returned in good condition.

How do I list an item?: Download the app, tap "Post listing", take photos, and let the AI fill in the details. Review the safety checklist if required, then publish.
How do I price my item?: Rekinder's AI suggests a price based on the category and condition. You can adjust the suggested price before publishing.

What safety checks are required?: Strollers, car seats, cots, and baby carriers require sellers to complete a structured safety checklist before their listing goes live. See our safety guidance page for details.
